Dana West, R.D., L.D., DIPACLM

Dana is the co-founder and President of Abundant Health Wellness Center. She is the creator of Start A New You® wellness program. She is also certified in lifestyle medicine and hydrotherapy. She owns and operates Sunny Dawn Acres where she hosts our Live-in Health Retreats.

More About Dana

Dana West graduated with her bachelor's degree in dietetics (nutrition) in 1997. She worked as head dietitian at Lea Regional Medical Center, in Hobbs, New Mexico for the first three years of her career, where she developed her passion for helping patients reverse their chronic diseases, especially diabetes, with medical nutrition therapy and lifestyle and behavior modification therapy. In 2000, she continued advancing her career at the Lifestyle Center of America in Sulphur, Oklahoma (a holistic health and wellness center) as a dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. Dana relocated to Bradenton, Florida in 2003 where she owned and operated Abundant Health and Dietetics, a personal nutrition coaching and consultation service. While in Florida she received her certification in fitness training, certification in Health and Gospel Ministry, and Hydrotherapy certification.

The Bible states, “I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers”, (3 John 2) and “I am come that [you] might have life and that [you] might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Dana enjoys combining her knowledge of health for the body with health for the soul, promoting the fullness of the Gospel.

Dana relocated to the “Little Switzerland of America”, Eureka Springs, AR, in 2015. She is the Co-founder, President, and Dietitian for our non-profit organization Abundant Health Wellness Center, and is the creator of the Start A New YOU!® programs. She owns and operates her Sunny Dawn Acres retreat center in Huntsville, AR where she offers a wide range of retreats, from camping to lodging to 10-day Start A New YOU!® health retreats.

Dana became board certified in Lifestyle Medicine in 2019. She conducts her programs, health and nutrition classes, diabetes education, private health and wellness consultations, food and cooking demonstrations, and hands-on cooking classes with a special emphasis on total wellness and abundant health!
